Mr. Moore’s practice emphasizes land use and real estate law. His work includes obtaining the approvals of residential development projects, subdivisions, environmental review and approval, and permitting. He has represented clients before numerous local planning commissions, city councils, and the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors. For five years prior to joining the Firm in 1984, Mr. Moore served as the house counsel for Chevron, U.S.A., Inc. in their Land Department.
He attended the University of California at Davis and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English before attending Law School at the University of San Diego. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego in 1979.
Mr. Moore is a member of the Contra Costa Bar Association. From 1998 to 2005 he served on the Planning Commission for the City of Walnut Creek. Additionally, Mr. Moore has been actively involved as a Big Brother for the Big Brothers of the East Bay and has acted as an Assistant Chaplain at Juvenile Hall in Martinez.
Mr. Moore, his wife Betty, and their two children reside in Walnut Creek.
